How to Select XAT Test City 2027
Candidates can select their preferred test cities while completing the XAT application form. The process can be followed in these steps:
Step 1: Open the XAT Application Form: Start the XAT 2027 registration process and enter the required personal, academic and other application details.
Step 2: Reach the Test City Preference Section: While completing the application, look for the section where XAT test city preferences have to be entered.
Step 3: Select Up to Six Cities: Candidates can choose six preferred test cities. Choose them in a practical order based on distance, transportation and travel time.
Step 4: Check the Preferences: Review all selected cities before moving ahead with the application. Make sure the choices are suitable for your expected travel arrangements.
Step 5: Submit the Application: Complete the remaining application requirements and submit the form within the prescribed deadline. The city preferences entered in the form should be checked carefully before final submission.
How to Choose XAT Exam Centre 2027?
Choosing the nearest available city can reduce unnecessary travel on exam day. Candidates can consider these factors before selecting their preferences:
- Distance from residence: Keep the first preference as a city that is easy to reach.
- Travel time: A nearby city may still require considerable travel, so check the expected journey time.
- Transport availability: Consider cities with convenient rail, road or air connectivity.
- Exam-day travel: Avoid a preference that could require an overnight or lengthy journey if another suitable city is available.
- Backup preferences: Use all six choices strategically instead of selecting only one or two cities.
Can Candidates Choose the Exact XAT Exam Centre?
No. Candidates select test cities, not individual examination venues. The final test city is allotted by the exam authority. The exact test venue and its address will be mentioned in the admit card. Therefore, selecting a preferred city during registration does not mean that a particular college, school or building within that city will be assigned.
XAT Exam Centre Allotment 2027
The authority has the final decision regarding test city allotment. Candidates can submit their preferred cities, but the submitted preference does not guarantee allotment of the first choice.
The allotment may therefore differ from the first city selected in the application. Candidates should keep all six preferences realistic and remain prepared to travel to the city ultimately assigned to them.
XAT Admit Card 2027 and Exam Centre Details

- Name of the examination venue
- Complete centre address
- Exam date
- Exam timing
- Reporting instructions
- Candidate details
- Other instructions applicable on exam day
What to Check Before Visiting the XAT Exam Centre?
Once the centre is allotted, candidates should verify the venue:
- Check the complete address mentioned on the admit card.
- Locate the venue on a map and identify the approximate travel time.
- Check available transport options from the railway station, bus stand or airport if travelling from another city.
- Plan the route beforehand rather than searching for the centre on exam morning.
- Keep sufficient travel time for traffic or other unexpected delays.
- Check the admit card instructions for documents and items permitted inside the centre.
XAT Exam Centre 2027: Exam Day Timing
The XAT 2027 examination is scheduled for 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on January 3, 2027. The exam duration is three hours. Candidates should follow the reporting time and entry instructions printed on their admit card.
Planning the journey around the reporting requirement is especially important for candidates whose centre is in another city.
Conclusion
The XAT Exam Centre 2027 selection starts with choosing up to six practical city preferences during registration.
Since the authority makes the final allotment, candidates should focus on nearby and well-connected cities and then use the admit card to confirm the exact venue.
After the centre preferences are sorted, preparation remains the key part of the XAT journey.
Candidates can use the MBA Karo XAT Mock Test 2027 to practise under timed conditions, work on question selection and review their performance through repeated mock attempts.
Regular mock practice can help candidates become more familiar with the three-hour exam setting before January 3, 2027.
